Domestic Abuse

Domestic abuse can occur during pregnancy and may increase during the postpartum period, as your family adjusts to the changes of adding a baby to your household. The Department of Defense is committed to ensuring victims of domestic abuse are protected, treated with dignity and respect, and provided support, advocacy, and care. If you’re a victim of domestic abuse, contact your military base Family Advocacy Program office.

The Family Advocacy Program team will ensure your safety and will work with both on- and off-base community resource agencies to address the needs and necessary interventions for you and your family. Call the Family Advocacy Program office on your military installation or the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 800-799-SAFE (7233). The Hotline number for the hearing impaired is 800-787-3224.
