Sleeping Problems

Dr. O’Connor

Some women have a hard time sleeping when they’re pregnant. This can happen because you may find yourself getting out of bed to go to the bathroom more often or feel too warm because of your changing metabolism. In addition, your heartburn may get worse when you’re lying down or leg cramps may be an issue. Some women experience disturbing dreams, which can certainly interfere with a good night’s sleep. It may help to use some relaxation techniques before going to sleep, like getting a gentle massage or taking a warm, but not hot, bath. You might also consider putting a pillow between your legs to help you be more comfortable.
