Headache

You may have mild headaches throughout your pregnancy. These can be caused by tension, low blood sugar, not drinking enough water or hormonal changes. Be sure to let your healthcare team know if you’re having persistent or severe headaches — particularly if they are accompanied by any changes in your vision.

Over-the-counter pain medications may help, but be sure to check with your healthcare team before taking any medicines. Keep in mind that you should avoid ibuprofen and aspirin while you’re pregnant. Eating frequent small meals, drinking plenty of fluids, and taking time to relax may help.
